People, partnerships and shared interests
The group name matters: counting profile headings is not the same as counting individuals. Keeping a duo together preserves the partnership while recognizing its two members.
Our reading of a supporting cast focuses on incentives. Friendship, paid work and a business partnership can each create loyalty, but they can also create different expectations. A person who shares somebody’s immediate goal need not share their priorities when circumstances change.
That gives a useful narrative question to carry into the game: what does each participant want from a relationship, and what are they prepared to contribute? The answer can make a supporting character memorable without requiring them to dominate the story.
This is an introduction to the named ensemble, not a recruitment list or a forecast of betrayals. The profiles do not establish who survives the ending, and this reference does not attempt to supply one.
